Update 1.27 - Performance, Security and cheaters
Today we're happy to announce the release of RetroCores version 1.27, which brings massive performance updates!
Performance
Through massive optimizations both in the game and client, playing RetroCores will require fewer resources than ever before!
If you're playing on high-end Computers and have a high-end network with low ping, you won't notice very much.
But for anyone else, there will be differences in smoothness by either having a weaker PC, limited internet, or higher latency.
The update is also suitable for players who play on mobile internet with limited usage, as the client will use much less data while online.
Cheaters
With this update comes new tools to fight cheaters.
We have a detection system that's 100% accurate when detecting cheaters.
However, it cannot catch everything.
And that's where the new tools come in, which make it easier for us to detect and determine if someone is using cheats or not.
We've had long issues with the "silent-cheaters", who cheat but are generally good at staying undetected.
That will now change!
We hope you're enjoying RetroCores and that you're planning on staying with us for a long time,
We will always work on improving the game endlessly.

If you're using the Windows client it will update automatically when restarted.
If you're using the Wine or Linux client you will need to download the latest version manually.
