Weston Teaser -Part 4, The unknown
While purchasing supplies, I ran into another explorer who was a little more experienced than me.
We chatted and discussed our findings around Weston.
Afterward, I returned to my home to rest.
But I was unable to sleep. A line was stuck in my head.. it was repeating over and over.
"There are more mysteries in Weston than you realize".
I couldn't shake it.. maybe he said it because I still haven't explored everything.
Or maybe it means something more.

At first light, I left Weston to keep exploring.
I wanted to find a sign if the line was just for me or had a more significant meaning.

Before I knew it, I found a dragon trapped in a cave,
surrounded by cave systems of weaker creatures.
And I thought that was weird. Something is hidden here.
Why and where else would the dragon come from?

I continued my search, and below a mountain, I found this old castle.
I could feel that this castle was more than meet the eye. It must hide something.

I continued my search and found myself in a maze of swamps.
As I went deeper, the creatures got stronger, and all the sudden I walked straight into
the arms of creatures made of stone and earth, and creatures made out of slime.
They were very fast, strong, and agile so I couldn't stay there very long.

I continued my search in as many places as I could reach.
I found a cave system that led me down to some fortress.
This fortress contained things that were out of my imagination.
It almost seemed to be some sort of industry.
They seemed to be working on something.

I continued my search, and I found something that appeared to be of supernatural origin.
I followed the paths as deep as I could and found these wizards.
They did not like outsiders, they were human and could speak, but they didn't want to talk to me.
I tried to ask for permission to pass by for academic purposes,
but they started to scream they'd turn me into a rat.
I decided if any place would answer my question, this was it.

I ran as quickly I could down the halls and tried to figure out what this place was,
to see if it could contain the answers I needed.
It ended suddenly when I came across some mighty wizards.
They looked old, but they were very agile and powerful,
they almost outran me while throwing balls of energy after me.

I had to turn back to Weston.
I can't be this naive. I can't just run out into the blue and not be prepared.
I could have been killed, I was lucky to get away this time, and I know it.
"There are more mysteries in Weston than you realize",
I thought to myself, for the thousand time today.
It has to mean something, I need to find out.. but how?

Sincerely,
RetroCores Staff
